Who can drive the vehicle?

Clients with more then 21 years old and at least 2 years of driving license can drive the car. There is an extra fee for Young drivers (21 to 25 years old). Prices include one driver per rental, if you need more, you can buy the Additional Drivers you wish.

What is OPORENT's fuel policy?

Our fuel policy is same-to-same. It means that you must return the car with the same amount of fuel as you received it. Each 1/8 of tank difference will cost you an extra value (according to Terms & Conditions). There are no refunds of fuel.

We believe that this is the fairest fuel policy for our clients.

What are your location opening hours?

Our Porto Airport location is open from 08:00 to 20:00. Even though it's possible to pick-up or return your car between 20:00 and 08:00. For that you'll have to pay an extra After Hours fee. Our system will calculate it according to the times you insert when searching for a car rental.

How can I change my reservation?

You can do it either on our website, through your account, by e-mail to reservas@oporent.com or by phone +351 961 761 966.

Either way there are no costs to reservations amendments.

What's your reservation cancellation policy?

There are no charges for cancelling your reservation. We do ask you please do cancel it as soon as you decide to do it, through our website, by e-mail to reservas@oporent.com or by phone +351 961 761 966.

Do I have to pay a Reservation Deposit?

No! There are no charges when creating a reservation. You only pay when you arrive and receive your car.

Can I use the vehicle outside Portugal?

You can if you pay for an extra fee and only for Spain. There is no possibility to go to another country.

The Spain fee is to activate road side assistance and insurance in Spain. If you travel to Spain without it and something happens in there you'll have no insurance or road side assistance. Please check the Spain fee value during your reservation.

How can I extend my rental?

You can extend the rental if there is availability for that. All you have to do is contact OPORENT (+351 961 761 966) at least 24 hours before the end of the rental to ask for an extension. If there is availability for it, you'll have to go to our offices to sign a new rental agreement and proceed with the payment of the extension. The extension value will always be calculated on the daily rate of the original rental.

What's the rental deposit policy?

For a deposit on your car rental you'll have to bring a valid credit card and provide it's information. An authorization in the value of the excess will be activated on your credit card at the beginning of the rental. If you don't have enough funds on the credit card to provide this authorization you'll have to buy the SuperCDW and TLW insurance. Either way the data from your credit card will be kept on file to guarantee your rental.

We can't rent cars to clients who don't have a credit card.

What insurance is included in my rental?

All rental include a full insurance (CDW) with an excess according to car group. The excess is the maximum responsability for damages in the car. To void the excess you can buy SuperCDW (price according to car group).

Please note that SuperCDW doesn't cover damages to tires, locks and windows. To cover Tires, Locks and Windows, you should buy TLW insurance (price according to car gruop).
