A22 Toll Information

Here you'll find updated information about the A22 "Via do Infante" highway, toll payment procedures.

From the 08/12/2011 tolls will be charged on the A22 "Via do Infante" highway. The tolls will be collected by a device installed in our vehicles which will be activated whenever the car drives under one of the "Gates" that are laid between each exit of the highway. For each rental, you (the client) will enter a contract with the CTT (the Portuguese National Mail) where all tolls will be collected from their credit or debit card.

Unfortunately this system isn't ready to be used yet, so for now the payment method will be as follows:

Drivers must present the registration number (license plate) at the Post Office or Payshop Agent, and pay for the tolls pending payment.

You can use the following website to check the tolls due for payment. Unfortunately it isn't at this time available in english, but you can check the tolls by entering the registration number in the first field, and the text on the image in the second one, and clicking "CONSULTAR" below. The list of tolls to pay should appear.
